Main Sheet & Kicker Strops
If you are fitting out a new boat or refitting an existing boat, give it a safe and smart look with our low stretch, high breaking load, 50 mm wide Polyester webbing. Perfect for hiking straps, and we offer a choice of colours. You can buy it by the meter unfinished, or we can cut to your measurements and make the ends of as you require. We can also fit eyes/grommets for shock cord tensioning, and add padded sheaths to make hiking out a little more comfy. Give us a call to discuss your requirements
Padded toe straps make hiking a little less painful, stopping the edge of the webbing cutting into your feet. We can make padded straps to your dimensions with the ends configured as you require. We use quality, low stretch, high breaking load, 50 mm wide Polyester webbing, in combination with a fine denier coated Nylon outer, and closed cell foam that will not absorb moisture.
We stock a range of fittings, webbing, and materials. If you are looking for a custom solution or something that you have seen else where - on someone elses boat perhaps - but cant find it in a chandlery then try us. Give us a call or send an e-mail and we will let you know if we can make what you want and what its going to cost.
Wave Loft offer a range of strap and strop solutions to meet your dinghy needs, including clew straps, mainsheet and kicker strops, hiking/toe straps and other general purpose straps which can be custom made to meet your specific requirements.

Clew straps make rigging your boat easier. Loose fitted sails need a low friction fixing between the clew and the end of the boom. For the most popular classes with a loose fitted sail such as the Laser and Topper, a small rope is used to tie the clew to the boom. In breezy conditions tying the clew down can be a difficult job, and untying even more difficult, especially when returning to a lee shore. The hook and loop and webbing based clew strap provides an easy to use, strong and secure method for tying down the clew of loose footed sails.
